The history of beer

The history of beer starts long time ago. If to turn to the fantastic image of the world it is possible to find out that hobbits also made beer and drank it with great pleasure. It is difficult to say whether elves drank beer or not but goblins, orks, and ogres simply loved it.
Well as to the world of people, they often call it the "drink of gods". It is possible to say that the motherland of beer was Babylon basing on a great number of scientific facts. But Egypt is traditionally thought to be the motherland of this popular drink.
Babylon people knew the methods of beer making in 7th century BC already. Besides, the ancient world was famous by the beer made in Persia and Mesopotamia.
In the 8th century BC there was the tyranny of Hammurabi in Mesopotamia. One of the greatest representatives Hammurabi 1 adapted the law that consisted of 300 sections. It was the biggest law in the Ancient World. And some of the sections were fully dedicated to the beer making and to the bear itself.
According to law the person who made beer didn't have the right to sell it more expensive than the bread. Beer was also known in Greece. Socrates and Herodotus called the beer "bread wine".
But the time passed and by the 5th century AC people of England already made 29 sorts of beer. But the main difference from the modern beer is that people added honey and spices instead of hop. And the queen of brewing at that time was Flanders. And in 12th century beer was the most exported product in Europe.
