It is really possible to control the number of types of beer but it is impossible to count and to control the number of sorts of beer.
The sorts of beer differ by the temperature of fermentation. And to orient somehow in the great variety of sorts and to interest some people in beer drinking, I'll give several sorts of beer.
One of the popular sorts of beer is Abbey that is very strong and descent beer the motherland of which is traditionally considered Belgium. During the filling in the glass containers beer passes through the second fermentation. Besides, the fermentation of Abbey takes place being in high temperature. And as to the kinds of beer, it may be light, amber-coloured, unstrained and even dark.
Ale is known all over the world. This kind of beer is also rather strong and the method of top- fermentation is used to make this beer. The motherland of Ale is England. And people started to make it there in the middle of seventh century. And to cause the fermentation of Ale the high temperature is needed.
The third most popular sort of beer is Altbier. This beer is the German tradition. This sort of beer is much older than the beer of two sorts mentioned above. This beer is also made using the method of top-fermentation. And those who know the taste of Altbier refer it to the German Ales. But British people don't think that Altbier is so similar to Ale to call it Ale.
